Jeff Benton’s vision for Delaware County is to make it the best place in Ohio to live, work, grow a business and raise a family. To achieve that goal, we need careful long-range planning to ensure our strong economic base and pro-growth policies provide attractive opportunities for all to prosper.

Jeff Benton will ensure that we make key strategic investments in sewer, transportation and safety services while maintaining a lean, responsive County government for Delaware County constituents.

Re-Elect Delaware County Commissioner Jeff Benton.

Plans for Smart Growth

Developed Long-Term Economic Development Plan to ensure strong local job growth in desired areas and industries that will help reduce dependence on residential property taxes.
Developed Long-Term Road Expansion and Maintenance Plan to meet the needs of our growing community.
Developed Long-Term Sewer Plan to Ensure Residential and Business growth in the right areas in coordination with Economic Development and Roads Plans.
Developed Long-Term County Facilities Plan to improve existing facilities, consolidate operations in the new Byxbe Campus and repurpose existing surplus properties resulting in more efficient operations and better service to residents and businesses.
Developed Berlin Business Park, a major economic development initiative, with 1800 acres of prime real estate ready for commercial development.

Delaware County Improvements

Created the new Land Bank to quickly and easily address and resolve neglected properties.
Created the new Transportation Improvement District to partner with the private sector to get road projects done quicker, easier and cheaper.
Opened the Byxbe Campus to consolidate various County operations in one location to make it easier for businesses and residents to get things done.

Conservative Fiscal Management

Thanks to Jeff Benton’s conservative fiscal management, Delaware County has received the rare AAA rating from both Moody’s and S&P.
Our sewer district also achieved that goal with a very rare AAA rating from S&P. Only a handful of counties in the country have earned these lofty ratings.
Thanks to our conservative fiscal management, we were able to enact property tax rollbacks in excess of $10 million over the last two years.
